Posted by DwagenerComment

Regardless of what happens with the healthcare.gov website, we know that millions of Americans will need access to high-quality healthcare providers.

The American Academy of Physician Assistants has recently released new information that explains how America’s more than 93,000 PAs practice medicine and help people get the care they need.

Based on responses from more than 18,000 PAs across the nation, the 2013 AAPA Annual Survey focuses on the patients and chronic disease states treated by PAs, the procedures PAs conduct in all medical specialty areas and important workforce statistics that help describe this growing profession.

You can view highlights from the survey below. The full report of findings will explore these issues in greater depth and detail. If you are interested in receiving the full report upon publication, please contact us at datarequests@aapa.org.
