PAs partner with veterans as part of the cross-country cycling journey known as the Long Road Home. The Long Road Home Project, designed to help veterans with their transitions home, draws attention to a national concern. Casey Miller, a civilian, will lead five vets in a bicycle journey across the nation in an effort to heal their wounds and reach out to other veterans. The 4200 mile journey begins on July 15 in Aberdeen, Washington (near Tacoma), and will conclude in Washington, D.C., about 90 days later. The PA Veterans Caucus and the Washington Academy of Physician Assistants have dedicated their time to assisting in their journey.
